Teeth whitening

Before the procedure, the patient must have an appointment with dental hygenist. Whitening effect is predictable only when it’s carried out on clean teeth surface. The hygienist will help you choose the most suitable whitening solution depending on your wishes and the condition of the teeth. We offer teeth whitening in the clinic with a Fläsh whitening lamp or whitening at home with trays and whitening gel (Opalescence, Fläsh).

Communication

It is important for us that the patient understands the whitening process before starting teeth whitening. During the first appointment, our specialist finds out about the patient's wishes and expectations and gives information about the possible treatment plan, recommends the most suitable whitening method, as well as answers questions that may arise before starting the procedure.

No harm procedure

DR KLINIKA specialists work only with safe EU-certified materials, which make the whitening process harmless to teeth.

Restrictions

We inform you that it is NOT possible to bleach existing dental restorations - fillings, crowns, veneers, implants. Bleaching agents will not be effective for these kind of materials.

Teeth can change color over time for a variety of reasons. Some of them may be:

    • changes in tooth structure due to age;
    • smoking;
    • Regular consumption of coffee, black tea, red wine;
    • medication use;
    • insufficient oral hygiene;
    • various illnesses.

This latest generation teeth whitening method is effective yet gentle. Teeth can become several shades whiter in about 1.5 hours. At the beginning of the procedure, the patient’s gums are covered and carbamide peroxide gel is applied to the teeth. Then the specialist performs a gentle procedure with whitening lamp. Thanks to modern technology, teeth sensitivity during and after the procedure is significantly less comparing with other methods.

An alternative method is teeth whitening with trays, which are custom made for each patient to replicate shape and size of their own teeth. Patient uses them at home and puts the whitening gel in trays at his own convenience. Whitening with trays can achieve a similar effect, but the process is significantly longer.
